What we collect
- Account and key data — the email on your account and a hash of your API key. Keys are stored hashed and shown once; we never store the plaintext key.
- Video identifiers and URLs you submit, so we can extract and cache transcripts. Cached transcripts are tied to the video, not to you.
- Usage records — which endpoint was called, when, and how many credits it used — used for quota, billing and abuse prevention.
- Messages you send us via the contact form, used only to answer you.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your transcripts to train models.
- We do not publish an email address; the contact form is the only channel.
Third parties
To produce a transcript we query YouTube’s caption service. If AI features are enabled on a deployment, transcript text may be sent to the configured AI provider to generate summaries, answers or translations; that text is the video’s content, not your personal data.
Retention
Transcripts are cached to make repeat requests fast and are retained while useful. Usage records are kept for quota and billing. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.
Your choices
You can revoke API keys from the dashboard at any time. For access, correction or deletion requests, contact us and we will help.
